A folding phone is a mechanism. This theme takes that literally: x-ray cutaways, hinge blueprints, exploded lens diagrams, watch movements, glowing circuitry.

Technical drawings are unusually tolerant of a fold, because they are already made of lines and separations. An exploded view is a diagram of something coming apart, so the crease simply joins the visual language.
