Animals.

Animals are the subjects that use the fold best. A butterfly or a peacock is symmetrical, so its body sits on the hinge; a cat and a dog can face each other across it; a crocodile can snap its jaws shut when you close the phone.

The breakout designs push the animal toward you, out of the screen. Their heads and eyes stay inside the central strip, so the cover screen gets the face rather than a tail.
