Crease Magic.

Designs built around the hinge instead of away from it — the crease is the subject.

Every foldable has a line down the middle. Most wallpaper pretends it is not there, which is why so much of it looks slightly wrong on a folding screen. This collection does the opposite: the fold is the joke, the spine, the zip, the hinge of a door.

The trick is that the crease has to be load-bearing. A butterfly with its body on the hinge, a fan with its centre rib on the fold, a storybook whose spine is the seam — in each case, remove the fold and the picture stops making sense. That is the test we use for this theme.

These designs reward an owner who opens the phone slowly. They are the least discreet wallpapers on the site, and for a device this new that is usually the point.
