Why it works on the fold
A giant clam with the pearl at the centre of the crease. Fold the phone and the shell shuts on it. Soft greens and greys, low contrast throughout, so it stays a background instead of competing with the clock.
Two screens, one artwork
Both sizes are cropped from the same artwork — a wide cut for the unfolded inner screen, a tall one for the cover — so the phone looks consistent open or closed. Downloading only one? Take the size for the screen you look at most.
