How it works

Why a simulator?

On a folding phone, a wallpaper is only half the story — the crease, the fold angle and the hinge transition decide how it actually feels. This simulator rebuilds the iPhone Duo the way the real hinge behaves: one half stays put, the other swings.

  • Fold — open it flat, park it in book or flex mode, or close it; drag the phone itself if you prefer.
  • Turn — spin the device to check the back: cover display on one side, cameras on the other.
  • Hinge blur — the folding half softens toward its free edge and comes back sharp as it opens flat.

Does the preview match the real iPhone Duo?

The canvas uses Apple's published resolutions and aspect ratios, a center hinge, and the same cover-crop behaviour iOS applies to wallpapers, so framing and crease placement carry over 1:1.

Why does the image blur while folding?

That is Apple's hinge-aware treatment: the folding half keeps showing the picture as you saw it flat, cut where its edge now lands, and blurs and darkens toward the free edge the further it folds — nothing at the hinge, strongest at the edge. Open it flat and it resolves sharp.

Do I need one file or two?

One. Every design is a single 2892 × 2034 master; iOS crops the inner landscape (2853 × 2007) and the cover (1398 × 2034) from it. The simulator is showing that same crop, not a second file.

Are the downloads free?

Yes. The simulator and every preview are free, and the 2892 × 2034 master of every design downloads free too — no account and no pass.

Can I preview my own photo?

Yes. Tap “Use your own photo” in the picker and it stays on your device — the image never leaves the browser.
